Welcome back to school! This week in Religion, we will begin to investigate life in first century Palestine. Students will locate biblical places on a map and find out what daily life was like in Jesus' time. In History, we will begin to explore the journey of Captain Cook as he and his crew explored the east coast of Australia, declared the land "Terra Nullius" and claimed the whole of the east coast at Possession Island. In English, we examine nonsense verse and poetry and explore the ways that authors use poetic devices to entertain their audiences. in Maths, we are looking at identifying the place value of numbers up to 999 999 and including decimal numbers. We are looking forward to a busy week ahead!
