This week in Maths, we are revising all content covered in term 4, in preparation of our Term 4 Maths test. The topics we have covered so far this term include place value, number sentences, division, probability, time conversions and measuring capacity. Students refer to their learning goals and have the opportunity to work on these goals to 'close gaps'. In Science, students continue to investigate properties of materials and prepare to construct their own package.Taking an integrated approach, students will also look at the health information listed on food packages, and in Geography, students examine how we manage waste at home and at school. Following our visit from the Logan City Council, year 4 students are working on minimising the waste produced by school lunches. We encourage all families to consider the packaging materials used in lunchboxes and we hope to see a lot more Nude Food!
Thank you to the families who have already donated to the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal. Year 4 students are collecting books, toys, games and sporting equipment. We hope to generously support the underprivileged in our community this Christmas.
